MAI is one of the three madrasahs under the Joint Madrasah System (JMS) in Singapore. It is an Islamic-inspired academic school that is focused on nurturing students who excel academically, are grounded in Islamic values, and are connected to the community with a keen sense of service.

*Students with minimal or nil Arabic background will follow the school’s Arabic Bridging programme throughout Secondary 1, with corresponding applicable fees on top of the monthly school fees.
** MAI offers Malay or Higher Malay subject as Mother Tongue Language (MTL) to cater for the majority. Tamil Language speakers who opt for Tamil as their MTL will be required to pay the corresponding monthly fee as a TL teacher is specifically engaged for this.

Applicants must be goal oriented, self-motivated, leaders who display excellence in academics and Islamic studies. Details TBA.
Financial Assistance
Madrasah Al-Arabiah Al-Islamiah is committed to attracting the most academically talented students, independent of their parent’s financial situation. To this end, MAI has a financial assistance program. The aim is to assist families who are unable to afford the full fee.
Eligibility and Awards
All families who meet the Monthly household Per-Capita-Income of not more than $500 may be eligible to apply for financial assistance.
Financial assistance is limited to a maximum of S$1200 (non-”zakat”) and S$2160 (“zakat”) of the total fees in 2019. It does not cover any other fees or expenses such as application fees, enrollment fees, lunch or uniforms.
All families are expected to contribute to the cost of their child’s independent school education. Financial assistance is provided as a grant, not a loan, so repayment is not necessary.
